INTRODUCTION TO COMPOSITE PANELS.

COMPOSITE PANELS. The days when an insulated roof meant building it up with liner trays, micro zeds, quilt insulation, vapour barrier and top sheet etc. etc involving very high labour costs and the inherent risk of cold bridging and weak spots are no more.

Whilst initially the cost of the panels may seem relatively high, the speed and ease and thus savings to made on labour costs as well as the increase in the quality of the roof is enormous in both cases. Thus using the panels provides an higher quality roof at a reduced cost when compared to the previous old build-up method.

Corus Trisomet 333 System Overview

The new Trisomet 333 from Corus is an insulated roof and wall panel system comprising a wider spaced trapezoidal steel external skin, providing optimum performance for water drainage, strength and walkability.  Its auto-hesively bonded polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core uses the latest foam technology providing enhanced environmental benefits, together with fire performance approved by LPCB.

Corus Trisomet 333 System is a robust one component, factory controlled, made to measure, insulated roof and wall panel system that provides time saving in completion of cladding programmes; eliminates the risk of interstitial condensation; and insures uniform thermal performance throughout the building envelope. Suitable for roof pitches down to 4 degrees.

The system offers excellent economic and environmental performance, and comes with comprehensive certification and Corus Platinum Warranty

Key Benefits; Corus Trisomet 333 System

a)   The one fix construction provides fast and consistent installation, resulting in the contractor spending less time on site

b)   The panel is fully filled with closed cell foam eliminating the risk of interstitial condensation and providing a consistent insulation performance over the building envelope

c)   Manufactured in factory conditions operating to SO 9001 Standards

d)   Panel lengths up to 20m are available to optimise speed of installation and minimise waste.

e)   LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) approval to LPS 1181 part 1 helps reduce insurance       premiums and assures reaction to fir performance.

f)   The Corus Trisomet 333 System has been designed with 'anti-capillary-groove' to its external underlap.

This unique design feature enables the panels to be installed without a separate site applied side lap  sealant, which saves material costs and installation time.

g)   Lower air permeability of the system reduces energy costs, carbon emission rates and facilitates compliance with Building Regulations (Part L2 & TH6).

h)   The Corus Trisomet 333 System is a sustainable solution with responsible sourcing and traceability of all component materials. The state of the art PIR core has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a global warming potential (GWP) of less than 5.

i)   Corus Platinum System Warranty offers a 25 year free material performance cover, including up to a 12 year workmanship guarantee.

j)   Confidex Sustain available on Colorcoat assessed cladding systems using Colorcoat Ultra or Colorcoat Prisma.
