Certain DIY superstores are marketing shingles at what appears to be a very low price, They are usually packaged as own brand and made of a thinner material to target the DIY user.

They are usually in packs of only 16 no. strips compared to the regular professional pack contents of 21 no. strips. When considering purchasing these shingles, some of which may be in roll form, note the quality, thickness, quantity in pack and size and also note if there is any grit detached from the face of the shingles in the packs or lying on the floor area surrounding the packs.

Usually the quality of these products is not comparable with the quality of the shingles offered on this page, which are the top quality product that professional builders use. We never say don't buy this product, but first to ask yourself if their quality meets your full requirements.
