Using profiles which
incorporate stiffing ribs, it is possible to design and
produce grain stores using GR60 and GR100 profiles which
are available in a choice of three thicknesses of zinc
coated steel to BSEN10147: 1992 FeE280G Z275 and in
lengths to suit individual contracts.
It is usually advisable
to use 0.90mm or 1.20mm steel at ground level to resist
impact damage, however the panels are available in 0.7mm
thicknesses with plastisol coating in a range of 12
colours.

VERTICAL APPLICATION
For single span
conditions sheets are supported at the top and bottom
by continuous supports.
The stored height of
the grain may be increased by the introduction of
intermediate supports at various positions within the
height.
Two alternative
positions are shown in the tables, (left) one being
with the support at mid-span (H2) and one third of the
height from the base (H3) |

SPANNING CAPABILITIES.
NOTE.
GRAIN STIRRERS increase the loading on
the grain wall from the grain; if stirrers are used, the span
figures given in the tables below should be halved.
