DRI-CLAD

PLASTISOL ANTI CONDENSATION DRIP SHEETING

DRI-CLAD is a standard Plastisol sheet with unwoven fabric attached to the reverse side to regulate condensation, producing a similar effect to condensation retention properties of fibre-cement and asbestos cement sheets.

In frosty conditions condensation is a problem which effects all single skin metal clad buildings, in particular open fronted metal clad livestock buildings. The warmth moist air from the livestock within the building condenses on the underside of the colder roofing sheets which in turn freezes. The following morning as the day warms up the condensation thaws out and drips over the interior of the building. This is particularly bad in cases of white hoare frost.

The underside of fibre-cement and asbestos cement roofing sheets has the inbuilt power to hold much of the condensation droplets in place, which as the day warms up are then dried away by the air stream. The unwoven fabric on the underside of the metal sheet is said to reproduce this effect.

CUT EDGES.

On site when the sheets have been cut to size and are ready for fitting, the cut edges of the sheets need to be painted with a Clear Cut Edge Lacquer to secure the cut edge of the woven fabric to the sheets. This also acts as a further anti corrosion protection for the cut edge of the sheet.

COLOURS AND THICKNESS AVAILABLE

At this moment DRI-clad is only available in Slate Blue Plastisol 0.7mm thick and in Goosewing Grey Plastisol 0.5mm thick.

PROFILES AVAILABLE.

Both colours and thicknesses are available in 30/1000 box profile and 14 x 3" Corrugation  = 3ft - 6" coverwidth (1067mm) manufactured to order.

 14 x 3" corrugation = 3ft - 6" (1067mm) coverwidth with 1 no. lap

30/1000 Profile = 1 metre coverwidth = 39.25 inches (approx)
