BITUMINOUS BLACK PAINT
DESCRIPTION.
A solvent-borne, bituminous black paint. When dry it forms an
odourless and taint free bitumen film. Conforms to BS3416:
Type 1 Class A for waterproofing and weather protecting of
steelwork, concrete and water tanks.
Note. Bituminous Black Paint no longer meets the updated
requirements for potable water tanks.
USES. For
use as a protective coating against water - over ferrous and
non ferrous metals, concrete, roofing felt, fibre-cement,
corrugated iron, asphalt and wood.
APPLICATION. Surfaces being
coated should be thoroughly cleaned and completely dry.
Priming will not be necessary unless the surface is corroded.
Bituminous black paint should not be thinned. Apply two coats
by brush or spray equipment.
DRYING TIME. 24 - 48 hours
depending on weather conditions and application.
COVERAGE.
6.5 square metres per litre per coat.
SIZES. 25 Litre, 5 Litre, 2.5
Litre & 1 Litre Containers.
