IMPORTANT. All owners/occupiers of Industrial and Commercial premises in the UK are required by law  to carry out an assessment on their buildings to ascertain the presence of Asbestos or asbestos-cement and to record it's condition and the Health & Safety risk associated with the said asbestos. This includes Asbestos Cement Roofing Sheets and Lining Panels.

The buying, selling and even the giving away of asbestos-cement sheets and fittings is banned by law. Their recycling and reuse on the same premises is not. The composition of a typical Asbestos Cement Sheet is 90% Cement. 8% White Asbestos Fibres and 2% Others.

NOTE. SLE Cladding Ltd's staff are not allowed to give advice on or discuss with customers the safe handling, cutting, fixing or disposal of redundant Asbestos Cement Sheets & Fittings or any other Health & Safety issue. CLICK HERE to go to a page which tells you were to go for advice.

To assist owners/occupiers in identifying the profile of asbestos cement sheets on their premises and the availability of replacement materials in fibre-cement we have scanned on to this page drawings taken from catalogues of yesteryears, when asbestos cement roofs were in their heyday and profiled metal sheets were little heard of.

CLICK HERE.  If your type of profiled asbestos sheet is no longer produced in fibre-cement. This will take you to our page on "Obsolete and Unknown Profiles", where you will find an article on the choices of actions available to you.

NOTE. So that you may read the measurements, we have had to enlarge the scanned images below. Please note that hand moulded sheets are expensive at around £80 - £90 for a 10 ft sheet plus VAT & delivery charge, also  production and delivery can be extended.
