are some of the more popular items from the wide range of Adhesives and Sealants that SLE
Cladding Ltd can supply. Not all adhesives are ex stock, but they can be
quickly obtained. Note unless a particular brand is specified a
similar product from another maker may sometimes be supplied.
NOTES
Gripfill and other adhesives, bonds well to fingers as well as other materials and
is sometimes difficult to remove. Wear disposable gloves
when working with it.
With all
adhesives no matter their bonding strength. The bond is only as
strong as that of the surfaces which they are bonding together.
Cartridge Guns can be purchased from SLE Cladding Ltd with your adhesives order.
TRADE TIP. Working with
Silicone. To easily obtain a nice smooth finish. Obtain a
an empty domestic spray bottle. Wash out and fill with clean
water, adding just a little domestic washing up liquid. Run
out the bead of silicone and spray over lightly with the washing
up liquid.
The combination of the
liquid and silicone will give off a foul smell, but at the same
time it will be possible to smooth out the silicone in a perfect
bead without any adherence to fingers.

A high
strength adhesive which will bond a wide variety of materials
either to themselves or to each other and will in addition act as
a gap filling adhesive on uneven surfaces.
Materials which can be bonded using Gripfill include :-
Wood, Plywood, Hardboard, Chipboard, Laminated plastic,
Brick, Ridged insulation material, (except polystyrene) Metal,
Stone, Breeze Block, Ceramics, Concrete, Sand cement screeds,
Plasterboard, Cement Composite boards & GRP.

Bead.
Especially suitable for bonding substrates which are sensitive to
solvents, such as expanded polystyrene, foamed and laminated PVCs.
Available in 350ml and 310ml tubes.
MATERIALS WHICH CAN BE BONDED
At
least one surface should be porous.
Wood,
Plasterboard, MDF, Hardboard, ceramics, glass, metal, cork,
laminates, uPVC, brick, breeze blocks, concrete, most plastics
etc.
USES. Expanded polystyrene mouldings,
covings, architraves, skirting boards, picture /dado rails,
decorative wall panels, shelves, window frames and sills, carpet
grippers and
worktops.
Once cured Gripfill Solvent Free
develops a bond strength similar to that of Gripfill. Developed
specifically for internal use, it is ideal for decorating,
refurbishment, building and DIY applications.
Quay Seal. A low modulus multipurpose Acetoxy Silicone Sealant. Conforms to BS 5889. 310 mm Cartridges. Colours available = White, Brown & Clear Specially formulated for use with polycarbonates, acrylics and rigid PVC. Available in Clear, Brown & White. 310ml Quay Seal Contractors Low Modulus Silicone. is a high performance acetoxy curing sealant which provides a permanent watertight flexible seal and offers excellent adhesion properties making it suitable for use on glass , aluminium, painted surfaces, composite boards and non porous surfaces. APPLICATIONS. Sealing around door and window frames. Sealing of glass and glass to aluminium. All forms of glazing systems. Sealing of pipes and many plumbing applications. Draught proofing casement windows and doors. Suitable for sealing ductwork. NOT to be used for the sealing of aquariums.
A high modulus, acetoxy cure sealant. Suitable for internal and external use. Universal Sealant can be used for general purpose building, glazing and sanitary applications. It provides excellent adhesion, a flexible watertight seal and also contains a fungicide to prevent the growth of mould in areas prone to humidity. Can be used for

A high quality flexible mortar. Lead Sheet Sealant provides excellent adhesion to lead and roofing substrates. It is suitable for pointing lead into brickwork and bonding lead flashing to brick or concrete. Lead Sheet Sealant conforms to BS5889 (A) and ISO 11,600 F&G 25LM Glazing and Construction and cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to give a FLEXIBLE waterproof joint. The manufacturers of the Lead Sheet Sealant above state that whilst it will bond with lead sheets and brickwork it is NOT SUITABLE for gluing both surfaces rock hard together. For this purpose they suggest using GRIPFILL (green case) as illustrated above and sealing the edges to prevent the ingress of water with the Lead Sheet Sealant or a Silicone Sealant. Colour. A high performance general purpose, solvent free gap filling adhesive that creates a high strength bond. Gripfill Nail Free Fixing Adhesive provides an instant grab immediately securing materials in place for accurate bonding. Bonds virtually anything and secures rough or uneven surfaces without difficulty. It is ideal for a wide range of applications including bonding decorative wall panels, skirting, coving, polystyrene ceiling tiles and mouldings etc. Easy to use, it eliminates the need for drills, nails or screws and any mistakes can simply be wiped away with a damp cloth. Gripfill Nail Free Fixing Adhesive dries white and can be sanded and overpainted.
Gripfill Contact Adhesive offers superior bonding performances with high shear strength and high initial grab. Ideal for bonding decorative laminates and also suitable for many other applications and substrates. Including ridged PVCs, cork, leather, uPVC sheets, wood, laminated plastic (e.g. Formica) rubber, metals, chipboard, hardboard, dense textiles, stone, concrete, cementitous screeds and smoothing compounds.
The ultimate in versatile adhesives, Gripfill Universal PVA has been designed specifically for use in the building industry and may be used as :- A primer - for priming, sealing or dustproofing porous or dusty surfaces. A bonding agent - for use with gypsum building plasters (conforms to BS 5270 part 1). A wood glue - conforms to BS EN 204 Durability Class DI. A general purpose adhesive - for bonding most porous surfaces. Container Size = 5 Litres |

A dark grey coloured aluminium foil flashing tape that can be used instead of Lead on most applications.
